PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Viking app is a tool designed to help aviation enthusiasts consolidate all aspects of flying into one convenient location to save time and increase flight scheduling efficiency. In order to save time and increase flight scheduling efficiency. In order to achieve success in this project, I conducted market research and created a list of primary functions for the app in collaboration with the client.

WIREFRAMES

The wireframes shown are a low-fidelity visual guide that represent the skeletal framework of the Viking app. Its main purpose is to push the user interface to show navigation paths between pages. This particular page schematic is a collaborative effort between the target audience of student pilots and a visual designer

to create rapid prototypes of pages while measuring the practicality of the design concept. After taking the needs and wants of the target audience into account; Balsamic software was used to create these low-fidelity designs as the underlying information architecture of the application.

STYLE GUIDE

A style guide is a comprehensive “living document” that brings cohesion to a digital products user interface and experience. The typography scheme is standardized for titles, subtitles, headings (H1, H2, H3), body text, and captions for consistency. The color palette and color combinations have been clearly defined to include navy and gray.

Colors have been listed with their values (HEX, UIColor) with specific pairings and examples to ensure cohesiveness. Buttons have been documented to include formatting for sizes, styles, colors, placement, spacing, and typographic elements. Different buttons used in different contexts are also clearly defined to prevent the need for one-off screen designs.
