The current case study focused on the PayPal credit card feature. Through the user research and design explorations, I created a better user experience for navigating between the PP and Synchrony bank that holds the CC operations.

Increase trust

Merge two platforms into a seamless experience. Build trust by giving power to the users.

Consistent UI

Visually remove the gap between the two platforms by leveraging the existing UI patterns.

Financial literacy

Help users make better financial decisions by adding new features like dynamic spending summary diagrams.

Improve navigation

Bring industry-standard navigation patterns and animation to help users navigate through the app.

I started with a simple app map flow, and over several iterations, developed it into a set of low-fidelity wireframes. Wireframes in my project play an essential role when addressing user stories. Applying personas on top of the flow allowed me to highlight areas where I'm addressing the pinpoint with feature or design.

In the final high-fidelity design, I leverage the existing design language system to create a seamless experience. The proper use of primary and secondary colors, card layout, and other UI elements connect the PayPal flow with the third-party provider interface. Altogether, it increases trust.

Designing for a data-heavy environment is always a challenge. Making sure that the end-users have access to the complete set of features and at the same time try to keep the UI clean and easy to navigate. A single iteration is never a finished product. The success lies in a chain of initiatives to adapt to ever-changing user behaviors.
